Stunning Engagement Session Dress

I had the absolute pleasure of working with Kate of Kate Elizabeth Photography not only during this styled shoot, but also for my very own wedding! I cannot brag enough about Kate’s work, it truly speaks for itself. Don’t just take my word for it and check her out! Kate inspired me with this picture of Nikki Ferrell from The Bachelor engagement session. I was instantly in love and knew I could find something pretty similar at my go-to dress source, LuLu*s.

Finding this LuLu*s dress was an absolute dream. What girl doesn’t want to strut around in a beautiful, flowy, floral dress? Just look at how it flows in the wind! I felt like a model Y’all, I’m not gonna lie!  This was one of those dresses that just fell in all the right places and would be flattering on any body type. The material is light and flowy, but not see through. The dusty blue florals pop so well against the blush material. To top it all off, my fave Houston florist, Bramble & Bee, put together a beautiful flower crown and bouquet that matched my dress perfectly! It really pulled the whole look together so beautifully.

When picking your outfit for your engagement session, I feel that lighter and neutral colors, such as blush, are so easy to coordinate with your hubby-to-be’s outfit no matter what he wears. They look great in any setting, whether it’s a woodland park, a sandy beach, or a field of wildflowers! Complement your dress with a pair of neutral heels and you could take this look from photoshoot to Sunday brunch! I’m all about being able to style pieces in different ways so you can wear them more than once! Gone are the days where I would buy a dress for a special occasion and then never wear it again! Except for my wedding dress, that precious gem has only been worn once!
